FastenMaster to Showcase New MVP, VersaLOK and TrussBRACE at the 2023 NAHB International Builders’ Show

AGAWAM, Mass., Jan. 2023 – Fas­ten­Mas­ter, a divi­sion of OMG, Inc., will be launch­ing sev­er­al inno­v­a­tive new prod­ucts at this year’s NAHB Inter­na­tion­al Builders’ Show, Jan­u­ary 31 – Feb­ru­ary 2, booth C9325, at the Las Vegas Con­ven­tion Center.

Fas­ten­Mas­ter will be fea­tur­ing two new addi­tions to its fas­ten­er line: the Ver­sa­LOK Struc­tur­al Wood Screw, and the MVP Mul­ti­pur­pose Wood Screw. Ver­sa­LOK is a high­ly ver­sa­tile fas­ten­er that pro­vides the strength of a ½‑inch lag bolt, with the instal­la­tion ease and speed of a LOK. Ver­sa­LOK™ is a flat head, heavy-duty wood screw avail­able in 6‑, 8- and 10-inch lengths, does not require predrilling, offers high­er design shear strength than ½‑inch lag bolts, and has a TORX® ttap® dri­ve sys­tem for sta­ble instal­la­tion. In addi­tion, the fas­ten­er is IBC/IRC code com­pli­ant, pro­vides Pro­jectLife® coat­ing guar­an­teed for the life of the project, and is great for angle brac­ing, retain­ing walls, and car­ry­ing beam connections.

The new MVP Mul­ti­pur­pose Wood Screw is designed for fram­ing, cab­i­netry, and oth­er wood-to-wood appli­ca­tions. MVP fas­ten­ers are IRC/IBC code com­pli­ant and fea­ture a TORX ttap dri­ve. MVP also has FastenMaster’s exclu­sive SureSink® Head to pre­vent spin outs, Pro­jectLife® Coat­ing for supe­ri­or cor­ro­sion resis­tance, and a SureStart® Point for easy instal­la­tion. The 10-gauge MVP fas­ten­ers are avail­able in lengths from 1½ through 4‑inches, and pack­aged in small job, PRO-Packs, and in bulk quantities.

In addi­tion to these new fas­ten­ers, the com­pa­ny will also be high­light­ing the recent­ly intro­duced Truss­BRACE roof truss sup­port. The Truss­BRACE sys­tem enables framers to set, space and brace roof truss­es in one easy step, for increased job­site pro­duc­tiv­i­ty. The patent­ed steel roof truss sup­port pro­vides both lat­er­al and diag­o­nal restraint in one brace. Since Truss­BRACE units are installed while stand­ing on the bot­tom chord of the truss, there’s less climb­ing which makes instal­la­tion safer, and elim­i­nates the need for tem­po­rary top chord brac­ing that must be removed pri­or to sheath­ing the roof.
