FastenMaster Launches VersaLOK Structural Wood Screw

FastenMaster, a division of OMG, Inc., has introduced VersaLOK, a heavy-duty structural wood screw for use on a wide range of interior and exterior wood-to-wood applications including angle bracing, retaining walls, and carrying beam connections. VersaLOK is the latest addition to the company’s industry-leading LOK line of structural wood fasteners.

AGAWAM, Mass., Jan. 2023 – Fas­ten­Mas­ter, a divi­sion of OMG, Inc., has intro­duced Ver­sa­LOK, a heavy-duty struc­tur­al wood screw for use on a wide range of inte­ri­or and exte­ri­or wood-to-wood appli­ca­tions includ­ing angle brac­ing, retain­ing walls, and car­ry­ing beam con­nec­tions. Ver­sa­LOK is the lat­est addi­tion to the company’s indus­try-lead­ing LOK line of struc­tur­al wood fasteners.

The high­ly ver­sa­tile Ver­sa­LOK pro­vides the strength of a Â˝â€‘inch lag bolt, with the instal­la­tion ease and speed of a LOK. The new fas­ten­er is designed with a flat head for flush instal­la­tion and fea­tures a TORX® ttap® dri­ve sys­tem for sta­ble, wob­ble-free installation.

In addi­tion, heavy-duty Ver­sa­LOK fas­ten­ers are engi­neered to deliv­er max­i­mum strength and pro­vide an aggres­sive three-inch thread design for greater hold­ing power.The result is a fas­ten­er with high­er shear strength than ½‑inch lag bolts and, as with all­LOK line fas­ten­ers, installs quick­ly with­out pre-drilling.

Ver­sa­LOK fas­ten­ers are avail­able in 6‑, 8- and 10-inch lengths and are IBC/IRC code com­pli­ant (ICC-ES ESR-1078), ACQ approved, and offer FastenMaster’s exclu­sive Pro­jectLife® coat­ing guar­an­teed for the life of the project.
