ICON ScrewJoists are deliv­ered pre-cut spe­cif­ic to your job and require no cut­ting (although they can be cut if need­ed). The joists slot right onto the ledger, requir­ing no joist hang­ers, and the bot­tom chord can be fas­tened right onto the car­ry­ing beam –elim­i­nat­ing the need for hur­ri­cane ties. Addi­tion­al­ly, the block­ing on ICON is a sin­gle 2X8 that is slid right through the webs of the joists.

ICON ScrewJoists are approx­i­mate­ly ¹⁄₃ the weight of tra­di­tion­al pres­sure treat­ed lum­ber. This makes car­ry­ing and installing them much eas­i­er and less tax­ing – espe­cial­ly when hoist­ing them onto ele­vat­ed struc­tures, and espe­cial­ly when work­ing alone – like in Mike’s case.

FLAT & LEVEL

ICON ScrewJoists are pro­duced in a fac­to­ry using only KDAT (Kiln-Dried After Treat­ment) lum­ber. This means there is no more need to plane each joist to make sure the deck sur­face is lev­el – sav­ing hours or even days of time. The struc­ture is ready for deck­ing imme­di­ate­ly after joist instal­la­tion and blocking.

Once you approve the plan, the joists will be man­u­fac­tured to size and deliv­ered to your job­site in as lit­tle as 1 week.
